Mothers Day Gift Guide

Mother’s day is coming up this Sunday and it’s time to show your mom how much you love her. If you have been slacking a little bit and don’t have a sweet something to send to your mama, no worries! I pulled together this quick list (with links!) to help get you started.

While our mom’s are always so excited to get a card or a note on mother’s day, when we reach a certain age and actually have some money to our name, I think it’s time to step it up. You don’t have to spend $100 on a sap package but picking out a gift bag of sorts with little things she will love will make her day! Remind the woman who knows everything about you that you know her just as much. A candle with her favorite sent or restocking the lotion she uses every night before bed will really make her feel special.

While I can’t put what I got my mom in here because she is an avid reader over here on Simply Nutmeg’s, I did want to share some inspiration with you. Now hurry up and order your gifts! Mothers day is this Sunday!

1. A stash of candles: Whether they be a pack of warm tea lights or 2-3 of her favorite candles, these are always a great idea. I personally think that going to target and searching for 3 different scents that she likes, maybe soft ocean smells or loud, garden scents, is a great idea. Pack them up with a sweet card and send it over just in time.

2. Her favorite lotion or perfume: I know that my mom personally LOVES Grace by Sephora. We love to restock her stash every year when she runs out. Whatever beauty product you remember your mom always having on hand your whole life, pick that up for her and send it over. The fact that you know her that well will make her mother’s day.

3. Stationary and Journals: If your mom is anything like mine then she is obsessed with stationery sets. I really love this journal, this stationary and these pens for a gift.

4. Movies: Pickup the DVD/Blu Ray versions of her favorite classic movies and toss them in a gift bag with her favorite treat or maybe a bottle of Rose. Some great movie ideas are Casablanca, Sleepless in Seattle and Under the Tuscan Sun.

5. A framed photo: Selecting a nice frame and putting in a photo of you and her or your whole family with a nice card attached is always a great gift idea. Make it small enough for her desk at work or splurge on a blown up version for a wall at home.

I hope this helps with some gift ideas for the best lady in your life! Already ordered something? Comment below to help give others ideas!
